William Robert Wilson was born October 8, 1884 in Chicago, the oldest child of James Henry and Hannah Krause Wilson. After graduating in 1906 from Chicago's Armour Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mr. Wilson obtained a job with Corn Products Refining Company, where he stayed less than a year.
